Hello, crafters! 

We’re kicking off April with the presentation of the Spellbinders Club products. Every time a new kit is released, I get excited because they just keep getting better (and I can vouch for it since I’ve already seen the May clubs!). These clubs are available through a subscription, but you don’t need to get them all—just the ones you use the most. However, I recommend subscribing to at least three: two for card backgrounds (BetterPress Club, Small Die Club, Large Die Club, Glimmer Hot Foil Club, Stencil Club, Standard or 3D Embossing Folder Club, or Stitching Club) and one for sentiments (Stamp Club or Stamp & Die Club). Remember, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Empezamos abril con la presentación de los productos de los clubes de Spellbinders. Cada vez que se lanza uno de estos kits, me emociona, ya que son cada vez mejores (¡y puedo asegurarlo porque ya he visto los clubes de mayo!). Estos clubes se adquieren mediante una suscripción, pero no es necesario tenerlos todos, solo aquellos que más se utilicen. Sin embargo, recomiendo suscribirse al menos a tres: dos para fondos de tarjeta (club BetterPress, club de troqueles pequeños, club de troqueles grandes, club Glimmer, club de esténciles, club de carpetas de embossing común o 3D, o club de bordado) y uno para frases (club de sellos o club de sellos y troqueles). Recuerden que la suscripción se puede cancelar en cualquier momento.

About Spellbinders Clubs | Sobre Clubs de Spellbinders


The Spellbinders Clubs are determined based on the product to be used. Stamp and Die Club | Club Sello y Troquel


The April Stamp & Die Club is very versatile, as it includes sentiments and an image of letter envelopes for stamping, which can easily be combined with other clubs like BetterPress, Glimmer, or even the 3D Embossing Folder Club. Since the image features multiple envelopes, it can be stamped in two steps: First, the top part and then the bottom, allowing you to create a standard A2-sized card (U.S. format). After that, you can color it with alcohol markers, as I did, or simply ink it or stamp it onto colored cardstock to avoid coloring each envelope individually. In my case, I went for a simple coloring style and finished the card in about 20 minutes. Additionally, I stamped only part of the image to combine it with the BetterPress Club.

El Club Sello y Troquel de abril es muy completo, ya que incluye frases y una imagen de sobres de carta para estampar, que se puede combinar fácilmente con otros clubes, como BetterPress, Glimmer o incluso el de Carpeta de Embossing 3D. Dado que la imagen contiene varios sobres, se puede estampar en dos pasos: primero la parte superior y luego la inferior, permitiendo crear una tarjeta estándar A2 (formato americano). Después, se puede colorear con rotuladores de alcohol, como he hecho yo, o simplemente entintar o estampar sobre cartulina de color para evitar colorear cada sobre individualmente. En mi caso, opté por un coloreado sencillo, y completé la tarjeta en unos 20 minutos. Además, estampé solo una parte de la imagen para combinarla con el Club de la BetterPress.



BetterPress Club | Club de BetterPress


The April BetterPress Club is truly beautiful and offers endless creative possibilities. However, I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to experiment with it (I’ll be making more cards with this kit using the Glimmer soon). Remember that this club should be used with the BetterPress LetterPress System, but also with the Glimmer Hot Foil System. To make the most of it, I created a monochromatic blue card, using blue cardstock along with matching ink. To add contrast, I incorporated the envelopes from the Stamp & Die Club, coloring them in different shades of blue as well.

El Club de BetterPress de abril es realmente hermoso y ofrece muchas posibilidades creativas. Sin embargo, no tuve tanto tiempo como me hubiera gustado para experimentar con él (pronto haré más tarjetas con este kit utilizando la Glimmer). Recordemos que este club debe usarse con la máquina BetterPress LetterPress System, pero también con la Glimmer Hot Foil System. Para sacarle el máximo partido, creé una tarjeta en tonos monocromáticos azules, utilizando cartulina azul junto con una tinta del mismo color. Para añadir contraste, incorporé los sobres del Club Sello y Troquel, coloreándolos también en diferentes tonalidades de azul.



Stencil Club | Club de esténcil


The April Stencil Club is one of my favorites because it includes two types of stencils. On one hand, there are two stencils for borders and dots, and on the other, three stencils designed to create an envelope background. For this card, I went with a simple design, but I know I’ll be using this club often since the borders mimic classic airmail envelopes with blue and red stripes. To complete the design, I combined it with the Stamp & Die Club for the sentiment, which I heat embossed with white embossing powder on red cardstock.

El Club Esténcil de abril es uno de mis favoritos, ya que incluye dos tipos de esténciles. Por un lado, hay dos esténciles para bordes y topos, y por otro, tres esténciles diseñados para crear un fondo de sobres. Para esta tarjeta, opté por un diseño sencillo, pero estoy segura de que utilizaré este club con frecuencia, ya que los bordes imitan los clásicos sobres con franjas azules y rojas. Para completar el diseño, lo combiné con el Club Sello y Troquel para la frase, la cual embosé con polvos de embossing blancos sobre cartulina roja.



Small Die Club | Club de Troquel Pequeño


The April Small Die Club is another one of my favorites, not only because it's so beautiful but also because it's incredibly versatile. You’ll soon see it in another card. For this card, I used all the elements included in the set, although they can also be used separately. For example, you could use just the snail and a letter, only the mailbox, or even just the plants and flowers. This kit has definitely been a great find, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. Like the previous clubs, I used a sentiment from the Stamp & Die Club, heat embossing it in white on dark blue cardstock.

El Club de Troquel Pequeño de abril es otro de mis favoritos, no solo por lo bonito que es, sino también por su gran versatilidad. Pronto lo verán en otra tarjeta. Para esta tarjeta, utilicé todos los elementos incluidos en el set, aunque también se pueden usar por separado. Por ejemplo, se puede elegir solo el caracol y una carta, únicamente el buzón o incluso solo las plantas y flores. Sin duda, este kit ha sido todo un acierto y me ha sorprendido gratamente. Al igual que en los clubes anteriores, utilicé una frase del Club Sello y Troquel, embosándola en blanco sobre cartulina azul oscuro.



Glimmer Hot Foil Club | Club de Glimmer Hot Foil


Another club I need to use much more is the April Hot Foil Glimmer Club. In this case, I used the black foil that came with the club on pink cardstock. For this card, I inked the edges with a darker pink ink to create contrast, although ideally, I would have colored the images (envelopes). However, if you purchase the Caboodle Deluxe Club, which includes all the clubs, you'll receive a gift that coordinates with one of the clubs. This month, it's a set of stencils that coordinate with the Glimmer Club. While I don’t have it, it’s another option to consider. To complete the card, I combined this club with the next 3D Embossing Folder Club, and for the sentiment, I used a set of dies in Spanish—S4-1410 Spanish Everyday Sentiments.

Otro club del que debo hacer mucho más uso es el Club de Hot Foil Glimmer de abril. En esta ocasión, lo utilicé con el foil negro que venía con el club, sobre cartulina rosa. Para esta tarjeta, entinté los bordes con una tinta rosa más oscura para crear contraste, aunque lo ideal hubiera sido colorear las imágenes (sobres). Sin embargo, si adquieres el Club Caboodle Deluxe, que incluye todos los clubes, recibirás un regalo que coordina con uno de los clubes, y este mes, se trata de unos esténciles que combinan con el Club Glimmer. Aunque no lo tengo, es otra opción a tener en cuenta. Para completar la tarjeta, combiné este club con el siguiente Club de Carpeta de Embossing 3D, y para la frase, utilicé un set de troqueles en español, el S4-1410 Spanish Everyday Sentiments.




3D Embossing Folder Club | Club de Carpeta de Embossing 3D


The April 3D Embossing Folder Club is another one of my favorites. It can be used as a background for other clubs, such as the Stamp & Die Club or even the Small Die Club, but I decided to do something a bit different. First, I embossed yellow cardstock following the die-cutting instructions for the 3D embossing folder. Second, since this folder mimics stamps, I decided to carefully cut out each image one by one with scissors and a lot of patience. The result was beautiful! Third, I inked each piece with the Lunar paste in gold. Lastly, I added the cutouts to a card that I combined with the Glimmer Hot Foil Club, and then I made another one simply using the cutouts and a sentiment, applying the Prism foil with the Glimmer technique.

El Club de Carpeta de Embossing 3D de abril es otro de mis favoritos. Se puede usar como fondo para otros clubes, como el Club Sello y Troquel o incluso el Club de Troquel Pequeño, aunque yo decidí hacer algo un poco diferente. Primero, embosé en cartulina amarilla siguiendo las instrucciones de la troqueladora para lograr el embosado en 3D. Segundo, como esta carpeta simula sellos, decidí recortar cada imagen una por una con tijeras y bastante paciencia. ¡El resultado fue precioso! Tercero, tinté cada uno de los recortes con la pasta Lunar de color dorado. Por último, añadí los recortes a la tarjeta, que combiné con el Club Glimmer Hot Foil, y luego creé otra tarjeta utilizando solo los recortes y una frase, utilizando el foil Prism para la técnica de Glimmer.
