Scene with Copics and Die-cuts | Escena con Copics y Troqueles

Hello crafty friends,

This card has a few techniques in card making. Firstly, the die-cutting of the images that will form the main focus of this card; secondly, the scene drawn for coloring with alcohol markers and; thirdly, the decorations, one of them made with alcohol inks. Esta tarjeta tiene bastantes técnicas en tarjetería. En primer lugar, el troquelado de las imágenes que formarán el foco principal de esta tarjeta; en segundo lugar, la escena dibujada para colorear con rotuladores de alcohol y; en tercer lugar, las decoraciones, una de ellas hechas con tintas de alcohol. Spellbinders Sporting Goods Set Etched Dies from the Game Day Collection by Justine Dvorak: S6-217

Spellbinders Sports Talk Embossing Folder from the Game Day Collection by Justine Dvorak: SES-057

For this card, we used the sports-related Spellbinders set - Sporting Goods Set Etched Dies. Our intention was to create a bowling alley scene, so we positioned the pins on the card, traced the lines, and then, colored it with our favorite alcohol markers, Copic markers. Other alcohol markers can also be used, or even watercolors. Later, for the decorations, we used alcohol inks. We created an eye-catching background and added it to the top of our card to simulate the screens or panels that are usually found in a bowling alley. In addition, we glued the die-cut ball, which we also colored with Copics, to our card. As we didn't have a suitable phrase for sports, we used the embossing folder that has sports phrases to create an embossed background - Sports Talk Embossing folder. We rubbed black ink on top of this embossed background and colored around the letters with a white marker to highlight just the phrase. This way we got our sentiment for this occasion. 

Para esta tarjeta, se utilizó el set de Spellbinders relacionado con el deporte - set de troqueles Sporting Goods. Nuestra intención es crear una escena de una bolera, así que posicionamos los bolos sobre la tarjeta, y trazamos las líneas para colorearla con los rotuladores de alcohol Copics a posteriori. Otros rotuladores de alcohol también se pueden utilizar, o incluso acuarelas. Luego, para las decoraciones, utilizamos tintas de alcohol. Creamos un fondo llamativo, y lo añadimos en la parte superior de nuestra tarjeta que simulaba las pantallas o paneles que suelen haber en una bolera. Además, pegamos la bola troquelada que también coloreamos con los Copics. Como no teníamos una frase adecuada para deportes, utilizamos la carpeta de embossing que tiene frases deportivas para crear un fondo embosado - Carpeta de embossing Sports Talk. Frotamos tinta negra sobre nuestro fondo embosado y lo coloreamos alrededor de las letras con un rotulador blanco para resaltar solo la frase. Así tenemos nuestro sentimiento para esta ocasión.

Bonus card | Tarjeta extra

This card was made with some die-cut pieces leftover from the previous card. It is an easy version to create, although in this case, the pieces were also colored with alcohol markers. The composition of this card is simpler. The pieces were positioned and glued one by one (from the back to the front). Concerning the phrase, the same procedure was used as for the previous card. 

Esta tarjeta se realizó con algunas piezas troqueladas sobrantes de la tarjeta anterior. Es una versión fácil de crear, aunque en este caso, también se procedió a colorear las piezas con rotuladores de alcohol. La composición de esta tarjeta es más sencilla. Se posicionaron las piezas y se fue pegando una a una (de detrás hacia adelante). Con respecto a la frase, se hizo el mismo procedimiento que la tarjeta anterior.
