Glimmer Hot Foil on Acetate | Hot Foil sobre Acetato

Hello everybody,

The card I have made is a clear card, with acetate. However, to prevent the message from showing through this material, it was decided to create a mini card base to insert it inside. In addition, the acetate used is not acetate itself, but we made it ourselves by simply laminating clear laminator pouches without adding the paper inside. This is the acetate we used and today, we can see that, as the sleeves are heat-sealed, they can also be used with the Glimmer Hot Foil System. Below, we show you two similar cards in different colors.

La tarjeta que he realizado es una tarjeta transparente, con acetato. Sin embargo, para evitar que el mensaje se vea a través de este material, se decidió crear una mini base de tarjeta para insertarla en su interior. Además, el acetato utilizado no es acetato en sí, sino que lo hemos hecho nosotros mismos simplemente plastificando fundas para plastificadora sin añadir el papel dentro. Este es el acetato que utilizamos y que hoy, comprobamos, que efectivamente al ser fundas que se sellan con calor, también sirven para realizar Foil en caliente con la Glimmer Hot Foil System. A continuación, les mostramos dos tarjetas similares en diferentes colores.

It is quite easy to adhere the cardstock to the acetate, although you should be aware that if you use liquid glue (as we do in the first card), the design could slip when you place it. Also, if you do not like to place die-cut pieces one by one, you might find this task tedious. However, for the second card, I die-cut the pieces on cardboard with adhesive sheets on the back, so that we only have to peel it off the cardboard to stick it onto the acetate. Although you have to glue each piece one by one, this way it is quite easy as you do not have to add glue.

Para adherir las cartulinas sobre acetato es bastante fácil, aunque hay que tener en cuenta que si utilizamos pegamento líquido (como hacemos en la primera tarjeta), el diseño podría resbalar al colocarlo. Además si no te gusta colocar piezas troqueladas de una a una, te podría resultar tediosa esta tarea. No obstante, para la segunda tarjeta, troquelé las piezas en cartulina con hojas adhesivas por detrás ya que solamente, tendremos que despegarla de la cartulina para pegarla sobre la acetato. Si bien se debe pegar cada pieza una a una, de esta manera es bastante fácil ya que no hay que añadir pegamento.

We created the first card and as we loved how it turned out, we wanted to create a second card to see how it would look in different colors and the truth is that this design does not disappoint. It is a complex card to make, full of elegance thanks to the acetate and the gold and silver effects of the foil and the chosen cardstock.

Creamos la primera tarjeta y como nos encantó como quedó, quisimos crear una segunda tarjeta para ver cómo quedaba en diferentes colores y la verdad, es que este diseño no decepciona. Es una tarjeta compleja, llena de elegancia gracias al acetato y a los efectos dorados y plateados del foil y de las cartulinas seleccionadas.
