Easy Father's Day Cards | Tarjetas Fáciles para el Día del Padre

    Hello everybody!

Today I would like to show you some cards I made for father's day. These cards are quite easy to make and you can use materials that you will have around the house. I created three cards and for two of them, I used a stamp set from Concord & 9th called Turnabouts which are quite well known as they are used to create patterns by simply rotating the cardboard four times. It is the first time I use it for a post although I bought it some time ago and the truth is that I have given it a lot of love. For the other card, I used geometric stencils which are quite versatile as they can be used for any cardmaking theme. In addition, I used a die cut from Hero Arts that says Father's Day which is perfect for this occasion, but you can also look for some additional phrases, like the ones I chose from the Altenew stamp set. Of course, one should not choose such a specific phrase for this special day as, nowadays in our society, we should all live together in harmony regardless of gender identity or appearance and accept family diversity (different types of families far away from the traditional patriarchal family).

Hoy me gustaría mostrarles algunas tarjetas que he hecho para el día del padre. Son bastante fáciles de hacer y utilizando materiales que tendrán por casa. He realizado tres tarjetas y para dos de ellas, he utilizado los sellos de Concord & 9th llamados Turnabouts que son bastante conocidos ya que sirven para crear patrones, simplemente rotando la cartulina cuatro veces. Es la primera vez que lo utilizo para un post aunque lo adquirí hace un tiempo y la verdad es que le he dado mucho mimo. Para la otra tarjeta, utilicé esténciles geométricos que son bastante versátiles ya que se pueden utilizar para cualquier temática en tarjetería. Además, utilicé un troquel de Hero Arts en el que dice Father's Day que es perfecta para esta ocasión aunque también pueden buscar algunas frases adicionales, como las que he elegido del set de sellos de Altenew. Por supuesto no se debe escoger dicha frase específica para este día tan especial ya que, hoy en día en nuestra sociedad, todos debemos convivir en armonía sin importar la identidad de sexo o la apariencia y aceptar la diversidad familiar (diferentes tipos de familias lejos de la familia patriarcal tradicional).

    These cards were created with the Concord & 9th Rainbow Turnabout stamp. To create these cards, a stamping tool such as the MISTI Stamping Tool is required because it is necessary to rotate the card four times to create the rainbow pattern. To color each rainbow arch, the stamp needs to be cleaned between each rotation and inked with a different colored ink. In case it is difficult to use, you can simply purchase the stamping guide which will help you to stamp this type of stamp in a more precise way. Besides, this guide has been improved in the last few years so it is more up-to-date than mine. This Concord & 9th Turnabout stamp is no longer available but there are many beautiful stamps of this type. You can see a REEL of these cards HERE.

    Estas tarjetas fueron creadas con el sello de Concord & 9th llamado Rainbow Turnabout. Para crear estas tarjetas, se requiere la utilización de una herramienta de estampación como la MISTI Stamping Tool ya que para crear el patrón del arcoiris es necesario rotar la tarjeta cuatro veces. Para darle color a cada arco de los arcoiris, es necesario limpiar el sello entre cada rotación e ir impregnándolo con una tinta de diferente color. En el caso de que sea complicado utilizarlo, simplemente puedes adquirir su guía para este tipo de sellos que te ayudará a estampar este tipo de sellos de una manera más precisa. Además, esta guía ha sido mejorada en los últimos años por lo que está más actualizada que la mía. Este sello Turnabout de Concord & 9th ya no está disponible pero hay muchos sellos de este tipo que son preciosos. Puedes ver un REEL de estas tarjetas AQUÍ.

    For the last card, I used stencils with geometric shapes that are used in layers, i.e. one after the other, to create a very nice retro pattern in different colors. The card is very similar to the previous one but the color palette was chosen differently as it is striking due to the contrast in warm tone (red), cool tone (blue), and neutral tone (black). With this card, we can see that colors are one of the most important selections in the world of card making. You can create cards with an advanced level of composition techniques but if the chosen colors are not adequate, the card will not dazzle and will not catch the attention of the receiver.     Para la última tarjeta, utilicé unos esténciles con formas geométricas que se utilizan en capas, es decir, uno tras otro, para crear un estampado retro muy bonito y en diferentes colores. La tarjeta es muy parecida a la anterior pero la paleta de colores fue escogida de manera diferente ya que es llamativa debido al contraste en tono cálido (color rojo), tono frío (azul) y tono neutro (color negro).  Con esta tarjeta podemos comprobar que los colores son una de las selecciones más importante en el mundo de la tarjetería ya que se pueden crear tarjetas con un nivel avanzado en técnicas de composición pero si los colores escogidos no son adecuados, la tarjeta no deslumbrará y no captará la atención del receptor.
