Two Backgrounds Combination | Combinación de Dos Fondos

Hello friends!

Today we are celebrating Carnival in the Canary Islands and I made a carnival-themed birthday card. I would like to share with you this card as I really liked the colors.

Hoy estamos celebrando el Carnaval en las Islas Canarias e hice una tarjeta de cumpleaños con temática carnavalera. Quisiera compartir con ustedes esta tarjeta ya que me ha gustado mucho los colores.

To create these two cards, I used a combination of two different backgrounds - Argyle Pattern Bold Prints and Venetian Fleur-de-Lis Bold Prints (not available). The first one I stamped on white cardstock with black embossing ink (pigment ink), and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then colored it using various Copic markers. For the next background, I embossed with glitter gold embossing powder and added a little color with Lunar Pastes. I wanted the colors to be pastel, so with a baby wipe, I removed the excess of these pastes. I cut out the two backgrounds at the same time and used the combination of these two stamps for the background of the cards. When I glued the two parts together on the card base, I added a strip of black and a strip of gold cardstock on the part where the two backgrounds meet, to give the project a better finish.

Para crear estas dos tarjetas, utilicé una combinación de dos fondos diferentes - Argyle Pattern Bold Prints y Venetian Fleur-de-Lis Bold Prints (no disponible). El primero lo estampé en una cartulina blanca con tinta negra para embossing (tinta de pigmento),  y embosé con polvos de embossing transparentes. Luego, lo coloreé utilizando varios rotuladores Copic. Para el siguiente fondo, embosé con polvos de embossing dorados con purpurina y, añadí un poco de color con las pastas Lunar Pastes. Quería que los colores fueran pasteles, así que con una toallita de bebé, quité el excediente de las pastas. Recorté los dos fondos a la misma vez y así utilicé la combinación de estos dos sellos para el fondo de las tarjetas. Cuando pegué las dos partes sobre la base para tarjeta, en la parte donde se encuentran ambos fondos, añadí una tira de cartulina negra y otra dorada para dar un mejor acabado al proyecto. 

For the images on this card, I used a carnival stamp that is no longer available. I embossed the images with white embossing powder. Later, I added the same Lunar Pastes that I had used before and let them dry. Then, I cleaned the white embossed lines with a baby wipe. I cut them out all around and added them to the card.

Para las imágenes de esta tarjeta, utilicé un sello de carnaval que ya está descatalogado. Embosé las imágenes con polvos de embossing blanco. Más tarde, añadí las mismas pastas Lunar Pastes y dejé secar para luego limpiar la línea blanca embosada con una toallita de bebé. Las recorté alrededor y las añadí a la tarjeta. 

To finish off this card, I added the word 'fabulous birthday'. First, I die-cut the word 'fabulous' on black and gold cardstock which I glued together to give it a little dimension. Later, I embossed the word 'birthday' with gold glitter embossing powder on black cardstock. I added both words to the card and some colorful embellishments.

Para terminar esta tarjeta, añadí la palabra "cumpleaños fabuloso" en inglés. Primero, troquelé la palabra "fabulous" en cartulinas negra y dorada que pegué conjuntamente para darle un poco más de relieve. Luego, embosé la palabra "birthday" con polvos de embossing de purpurina dorada sobre cartulina negra. Añadí ambas palabras a la tarjeta y algunos adornos de colores.
