Hero Arts Digital Stamps! | Sellos Digitales de Hero Arts

With the arrival of the new international laws in 2022, the price of the products has increased considerably, and shipping fees have as well. For many European crafters who used to buy card products in the United States, we have been forced to buy products only in our country because it is cheaper than buying products from other countries, whether in the European Union, England, or the United States. Most of the card products are manufactured in the USA and these products are late arriving in Europe, so many of us used to buy directly from these American companies. Many companies have been affected and, to compensate international buyers, have launched a range of digital products which are cheaper with no extra fees. One of these companies is Hero Arts. This California-based company has been launching new digital products for several months now (visit HERE).

Con la llegada de las nuevas leyes internacionales en 2022, el precio de los productos se han incrementado considerablemente, las tasas de envío también. Para muchos europeos que comprábamos productos de tarjetería en Estados Unidos, nos hemos visto forzados a comprar productos solamente en nuestro país ya que es más barato que si compras productos de otros países, ya sean en la Unión Europea, Inglaterra o Estados Unidos. La mayoría de los productos de tarjetas se fabrican en EE.UU y estos productos llegan tarde a Europa, por ello muchos de nosotros comprábamos directamente a estas compañías americanas. Muchas compañías se han visto afectadas y, para compensar a los compradores internacionales, han lanzado una gama de productos digitales cuales son más baratos sin tasas extras. Una de estas compañías es Hero Arts. Desde hace algunos meses esta compañía con base en California ha estado lanzando nuevos productos digitales (visita AQUÍ).

To create these cards, I purchased the January digital products from Hero Arts - Valentine Mugs Printables and Florals Printables. These products are very versatile and using them requires experimentation. For example, if you have an electronic cutting machine, it will help you in the process, as well as if you use a Photoshop or Illustrator type program, you can design your cards with the elements of the digital stamp set. However, if you don't have a machine of this kind or haven't used any of the design programs, it's fine because you can print the page with the stamps directly and cut out each image with a pair of scissors. This would be the basic level.

Para crear estas tarjetas, adquirí los productos digitales correspondientes al mes de enero de Hero Arts -Valentine Mugs Printables y Valentine Florals Printables. Estos productos son muy versátiles y utilizarlos requiere de experimentación, ya que si tienes una máquina de corte electrónica, te ayudará en el proceso, al igual que si utilizas algún programa tipo Photoshop o Illustrator, ya que puedes diseñar tus tarjetas con los elementos del set de sellos digital. No obstante, si no tienes ninguna máquina de este tipo o no has utilizado ninguno de los programas de diseño, no pasa nada porque puedes imprimir directamente la página con los sellos y cortar cada imagen con unas tijeras. Este sería el nivel básico. 

As you can see in the pictures above, the card is quite simple. The images are medium-sized. For this card, I printed the images and the phrases directly. To give it a nicer touch, I added black foil to make the lines look brighter as I printed in black tones with a laser printer that allows foiling (read HERE). I colored these images with Copic markers, cut them out, and the phrase, using scissors. In the background, I stamped an image with text (Hero Arts Novel Prose Bold Prints) that I inked with a pale pink color to give it a little interest to the background. Then, I die-cut some hearts using the Sizzix heart die set in two different sizes and colors - on pink cardstock and holographic cardstock. Finally, I adhered the hearts onto the background, and on top of these, I added the images with the phrase.

Como pueden observar en la foto anterior, la tarjeta es bastante sencilla. Las imágenes son de tamaño mediano. Para esta tarjeta, imprimí las imágenes y las frases directamente. Para darle un toque más bonito, le añadí foil negro para que las líneas quedaran más brillantes ya que imprimí en color negro con una impresora láser que permite realizar la técnica de foiling (lee AQUÍ). Coloreé con los rotuladores Copic y recorté con unas tijeras, tanto las imágenes como la frase. En el fondo estampé un sello con texto (Hero Arts Novel Prose Bold Prints) tintado en color rosa pálido para que le diera un poco de color. Luego, troquelé unos corazones utilizando el set de troqueles de corazones de Sizzix en dos tamaños y colores diferentes - en cartulina rosa y cartulina holográfica. Finalmente, adherí los corazones sobre el fondo, y sobre estos, añadí las imágenes con la frase.

For the other two cards, it required a bit of experimentation as I played with the size of the images to print them at a smaller size. I reduced the size of the images with the cutting machine software (mine is Silhouette Studio) and cut them out with the 'print and cut' option. The process is faster as you print the images automatically and more accurately. It saves you a lot of time! I also added magenta foil to the images and colored them with Copics markers. For the background of this card, I stamped the text stamp I used on the previous card and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then masked off the heart-shaped background which I colored with pale pink ink using an ink brush applicator. To finish off this card, I adhered the images, the phrase, and some white heart embellishments around them.

Para las otras dos tarjetas requiere de un poco de experimentación ya que para una de las tarjetas jugué con el tamaño de las imágenes para imprimirlas con un tamaño inferior. Reduje el tamaño de las imágenes con el programa de la máquina de corte (la mía es Silhouette Studio) y las recorté con la opción de "imprimir y cortar". El proceso es más rápido ya que imprimes las imágenes y luego la máquina las corta de manera automática y más precisa. Además, añadí foil magenta a las imágenes y las coloreé con los rotuladores Copics. Para el fondo de esta tarjeta, estampé el sello con texto que utilicé en la tarjeta anterior y lo embosé con polvos de embossing transparentes. Luego enmascaré el fondo con forma de corazón que coloreé con una tinta rosa pálido utilizando un cepillo aplicador para tintas. Para finalizar esta tarjeta, adherí las imágenes, la frase y algunos adornos de corazón blanco alrededor. 

The last card I created is the most elaborate as it requires the use of a design program, such as Photoshop or Illustrator. Thanks to these programs, you can create the design of the card on the computer with the different elements of the digital stamp set, you can even create patterns with the images or stamped backgrounds. For this card, I used repeated images to create a background and another image to serve as the main image. Both the size of the card for the background and the main image and phrase were cut out automatically using the cutting machine. For this card, I also used red foil for the background and gold foil for the main image and the phrase. However, I used different Distress Oxide inks to color the background - Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke, and Black Soot. I colored the main image with Copics markers as I had done previously on the other cards. To finish this card, I adhered the main image and the phrase to the card and some embellishments.

La última tarjeta que he creado es la más elaborada ya que requiere de diseño con un programa como Photoshop o Illustrator. Gracias a estos programas, puedes crear el diseño de la tarjeta en el ordenador con los diferentes elementos del set de sellos digitales, incluso se pueden crear patrones con las imágenes o fondos estampados. Para esta tarjeta, utilicé las imágenes repetidas para crear un fondo y otra imágenes que me sirviera como imagen principal. Tanto el tamaño de la tarjeta para el fondo como la imagen principal y la frase fueron recortadas de manera automática haciendo uso de la máquina de corte. Para esta tarjeta, también utilicé foil rojo para el fondo y foil dorado para la imagen central y la frase. Sin embargo, utilicé diferentes tintas Distress Oxide para colorear el fondo - Lost Shadow, Hickory Smoke y Black Soot. Coloreé la imagen principal con los rotuladores Copics como ya había hecho anteriormente en las otras tarjetas. Para terminar esta tarjeta, adherí la imagen principal y la frase a la tarjeta y algunos adornos.
