Hello everyone!

Today is not just any blog post as today marks one year since Russia started the war in Ukraine.  Several months ago I designed a card of a field of sunflowers (Ukraine's flower) to support the country because from that moment we knew that the war would last a long time, although we hoped that it would end. Today the war unfortunately continues and we have seen how many Ukrainian lives have been drastically changed by the situation and the destruction of their country, causing the exodus of more than 17 million Ukrainians, and thousands of citizens and soldiers have lost their lives defending their country.  Throughout this year several teachers have tagged me and shown me how their students have colored their cards. Some of them were sent to students in Ukraine and others hung them on the walls of their classrooms and schools.

Hoy no es una entrada de blog cualquiera ya que hoy se cumple un año del inicio de la guerra de Ucrania por parte de Rusia.  Hace varios meses diseñé una tarjeta de un campo de girasoles (la flor de Ucrania) para apoyar al país ya que desde ese preciso momento sabíamos que la guerra iba a durar bastante aunque teníamos la esperanza de que se acabara. Hoy la guerra continúa lamentablemente y hemos visto como muchas vidas ucranianias han cambiado drasticamente por la situación y la destrucción de su país, causando el éxodo de más de 17 millones de ucranianos, y miles de ciudadanos y soldados han perdido la vida defendiendo a su país. A lo largo de este año varias profesoras me han etiquetado y enseñado cómo sus alumnos han coloreado sus tarjetas. Algunos de ellos las enviaron a otros estudiantes en Ucrania y otros las colgaron en las paredes de sus aulas y colegios.

Сьогодні не звичайний пост у блозі, адже сьогодні виповнюється рік з того часу, як Росія розпочала війну в Україні.  Кілька місяців тому я створила листівку із зображенням поля соняшників (квітка України), щоб підтримати країну, оскільки з того самого моменту ми знали, що війна триватиме довго, хоча і сподівалися, що вона закінчиться. Сьогодні війна, на жаль, триває, і ми бачимо, скільки життів українців кардинально змінила ситуація та руйнування їхньої країни, спричинивши еміграцію понад 17 мільйонів українців, а тисячі громадян і солдатів загинули, захищаючи свою країну. Протягом цього року кілька вчителів позначили мене і показали, як їхні учні розфарбували свої листівки. Деякі з них були надіслані учням в Україні, а інші розвісили їх на стінах своїх класів та шкіл.

To create this card, I simply adjusted the dimensions of the card to the desired size and printed it with laser ink so that I could add black foil. Thanks to this, I was able to color it with Copic markers and the black lines stayed sharp. 

Para crear esta tarjeta, simplemente ajusté las dimensiones de la tarjeta al tamaño deseado y la imprimí con tinta láser para así poder añadir foil negro. Gracias a esto, pude coloreas con rotuladores Copic y las líneas negras se mantuvieron nítidas. 

Щоб створити цю листівку, я просто відрегулював розміри листівки до потрібного розміру і надрукував її лазерним принтером, щоб можна було додати чорну фольгу. Завдяки цьому я зміг розфарбувати її маркерами Copic, і чорні лінії залишилися чіткими.
