Patterned Backgrounds Stamping | Estampar sobre Fondos Estampados

There are many ways of designing cards. One of the most important parts of a card is the background. You can create simple backgrounds in which sentiment or images are the focal points of the cards or messy backgrounds in which they stand out more than the sentiment or image. The cards that I created for today's entry are about this last one - that is messy backgrounds. However, I did not make typical backgrounds by just using patterned papers, we are beyond. What about stamping on top of some patterned papers? So we were creating stamped patterned backgrounds - double images on the backgrounds (a printed one and a stamped one). I think these backgrounds are terribly gorgeous and I also love them more than those that I did not like the colors at the beginning. 

Hay muchas maneras de diseñar tarjetas. Una de las partes más importantes de una tarjeta es el fondo. Puedes crear fondos simples en el cual la frase o imágenes son el foco principal de la tarjeta o un fondo más elaborado en el que el mismo fondo resalta más que la frase o las imágenes. Las tarjetas que creé para mi blog hoy son sobre esta última opción - fondos más elaborados. Sin embargo, no hice el tipico fondo utilizando simplemente papel estampado, fui más allá. ¿Qué pasa si estampamos sobre el papel estampado? Así estaríamos creando fondos estampados sobre estampado - imágenes doble en fondos (uno ya impreso y el otro estampado por nosotros). Pienso que estos fondos son preciosos y también me gustan aún más porque al principio no me gustaban los colores elegidos. 

I picked a lot of Christmas patterned papers that I already had in my stash - of course, you can create cards with other themes. For the stamped background, I used the Candy Cane Bold Prints I placed the piece of patterned paper in my MISTI Stamping Tool with temporary adhesive to stay put in the same place quite a bit and stamped the images on top with some Versamark ink to emboss the background with white embossing powder. I used white embossing but you can use any embossing powder that you would like. As the background is too messy at this point because they have two different patterns, we want to make one of the patterns stand out a little bit more than the other. That is why I decided to color the embossed images with a colored marker. I had to be careful here not to color the white embossed line. Once this is done, I mounted the cards and sentiments. 

Escogí muchos papeles estampados de navidad que ya tenía en casa - por supuesto puedes crear tarjetas con otros temas. Para estampar el fondo, utilicé el sello Candy Cane Bold Prints que posicioné dentro de la herramienta para estampar llamada MISTI con adhesivo temporal para poder sujetarlo mientras estampo con la tinta transparente Versamark ink para embosar el fondo con polvos de embossing blancos. Utilizamos polvos de embossing blancos pero se puede utilizar cualquier color de embossing que te guste. Como el fondo estaba muy desordenado en este punto por los dos patrones diferents, decidimos que sería conveniente resaltar uno de los patrones un poquito más que el otro. Por ello decidimos colorear las imágenes que habíamos embosado con un rotulador. A la hora de colorear las imágenes fuimos muy cuidadosos para no colorear la línea blanca embosada. Una vez que creamos los fondos, montamos las tarjetas y las frases.
