First, I picked a piece of white cardstock to stamp the images from the MMH kit in July 2021. To do my stamping, I used the Mini MISTI Stamping Tool to get well-defined images. As I wanted to color these with my alcohol markers, the Copic Sketch Markers, I needed a Copic-friendly ink like the HA Intense Black ink although there are many inks like these in the market. So, I stamped the images, the gnome, the trunk, and two beautiful houses that come with this kit. Then, I cut these images with their coordinating dies that come with the kit, too. These images are small, so I could use the Sizzix Sidekick Mini Die Cutting Machine.
Primero, escogí un trozo de cartulina blanca para estampar las imágenes del kit MMH de Julio 2021. Para realizar la estampación, utilicé la Herramienta de Estampación Mini MISTI para así poder estampar las imágenes más definidas. Como quería colorear estas imágenes con rotuladores de alcohol, los Copic Sketch Markers, necesitaba una tinta que resistiera el alcohol, por lo tanto, utilicé la tinta HA Intense Black ink aunque hay muchas tintas como estas en las tiendas de manualidades. Así que estampé las imágenes, el gnomo, el tronco y dos casas muy bonitas que venían con este kit. Estas imágenes son pequeñas, así que pude troquelarlas con la Mini Troqueladora Sidekick de Sizzix.
Next, I colored the images with my Copic Sketch markers. I really love these but there are other alcohol markers that are inexpensive and you can use them too. In fact, I started coloring with the Promarkers and Brushmarkers from Winsor & Newton. I'm not an expert at coloring, so I didn't do anything fancy but, if this could help, I used the following colors for each image (you can also visualize the video):
Después coloreé las imágenes con los rotuladores Copic Sketch. Me encantan estos rotuladores pero hay otros rotuladores de alcohol que son más baratos y que pueden utilizarse también. De hecho, comencé a colorear con los Promarkers y los Brushmarkers de Winsor & Newton. To create the window card, I trimmed it to 4,25 by 5,5-inch a piece of green cardstock, the HA Kiwi Premium Cardstock. I wanted to add something else here, so I used the MISTI Stamping Tool and put this piece inside to double stamp. I used the HA Woodgrain Bold Prints that was stamped with the HA Moss Bold ink. So, this would be the background of this window. Then, I used the HA Forest Vines Window Die and die cut a piece of white cardstock of 4 by 5,25 inches. I used the Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine because this die is bigger than the coordinating dies. Now I traced the window to the background with a pencil so that I could decide where the images were going to be glued.
Para crear la ventana de esta tarjeta, recorté un trozo de cartulina verde a 4,25 por 5,5 pulgadas, utilizando la cartulina de Hero Arts Kiwi Premium Cardstock. Quería añadirle algo más, así que utilicé la Herramienta de Estampación MISTI y puse el trozo de cartulina dentro para poder estampar dos veces. Utilicé el sello de caucho de Hero Arts, Woodgrain Bold Prints que lo estampé con la tinta verde musgo, HA Moss Bold ink. Esto sería el fondo para esta ventana. Luego, utilicé un troquel muy bonito para crear la ventana (HA Forest Vines Window Die) y lo troquelé sobre una pieza de cartulina blanca de 4 por 5,25 pulgadas. Utilicé la Troqueladora Big Shot de Sizzix porque este troquel es más grande que los troqueles coordinados para las imágenes. Entonces tracé la ventana en el fondo con un lápiz para así poder decidir dónde iba a pegar las imágenes.
Later, I die cut some grasses pieces on green cardstock using the HA Thorn Tree Grasses Fancy Die. I glued two of them on the green piece of cardstock with the woodgrain design. Then, I added the images, the mushroom house, the trunk, and the gnome. To finish adding the images, I added another grass piece to the front so there will be a transition with the elements.
Más tarde, troquelé piezas de césped sobre cartulina verde utilizando un troquel de Hero Arts (HA Thorn Tree Grasses Fancy Die). Pegué dos de estas piezas en el fondo verde. Luego, añadí las imágenes, la casa de seta, el tronco y el gnomo. Para terminar de añadir las imágenes, añadí otro trozo de césped delante para que hubiera una transición entre los elementos.
I made a mistake here because I didn't stamp the sentiment first before adding the white piece of cardstock to the front of the card. So here would be perfect to add the sentiment! I first added some foam tape to the back of the white piece and added it in front of the card. As the white piece is smaller than the green background, this card would end with a green frame around it. Instead of using foam tape, you could use three more pieces of cardstock, I think this would give more stability to the card but I was looking for some movement of the plants that are hanging from the frame. Then, I added the sentiment with the HA Intense Black ink.
Tuve un error a la hora de estampar la frase ya que debía de haberla estampado antes de pegar la cartulina blanca a la tarjeta. ¡Ahora hubiera sido el momento perfecto para estampar la frase! Sin embargo, primero añadí la cinta adhesiva de espuma en la parte trasera de la pieza blanca y la añadí delante del fondo. Como la cartulina blanca es más pequeña que el fondo verde, esta tarjeta tiene un borde verde alrededor como si fuera un marco. Además, en vez de utilizar cinta adhesiva de espuma, podría haber añadido tres piezas más de cartulina blanca, pienso que le hubiera dado más estabilidad a la tarjeta aunque estaba buscando movimiento en las plantas que caen del marco. Luego, añadí la frase con la tinta negra de Hero Arts, HA Intense Black ink.
To finish this card, I added the card to a white standard notecard and some lines and dots were added to the images with a shimmer pen, the Sakura Stardust Pen, to give some interest.
Para terminar esta tarjeta, añadí la tarjeta a una base de tarjeta blanca y añadí algunas líneas y puntitos a las imágenes con un rotulador con brillo, llamado el Sakura Stardust Pen que hace resaltar las imágenes un poquito más.
