Hello there! It's me, Cha! I created this card last week practicing my coloring with Copic markers. Last summer, I took an online Copic course from Sandy Allnock. I was amazed by her talent and, then, I started the 'Copic Jumpstart' course. I haven't finished her course because I prefer doing it little by little and practicing the different techniques. This card is also one of my practice. I concentrated on the use of lights and shadows to create a beautiful contrast. Besides, I've created a card video in which you can see clearly the colors that I used in every moment, I highly recommend watching it if you are interested! (Sorry the video is so long!!)
¡Hola a todos! Soy Cha. Creé esta tarjeta la semana pasada en la que practiqué la coloración con los rotuladores Copic. El pasado verano hice un curso online de Copic con Sandy Allnock. Me impresionó bastante su talento y, entonces, comencé el curso 'Copic Jumpstart'. No he acabado el curso porque prefiero hacerlo poco a poco e ir practicando las diferentes técnicas. Esta tarjeta es una práctica también. Me concentré en el uso de luces y sombras para crear un bonito contraste. Además, he creado un vídeo el cual puedes ver claramente los colores que utilicé en todo momento, ¡lo recomiendo ver si estás interesado! (¡¡Siento que el vídeo sea tan largo!!)
To start creating the card, I first stamped all the images on the panel. I used the My Monthly Hero kit February 21 that is still available. The piece of white cardstock that I used was Neenah Solar White 110lb. I used the MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp the images to get more defined images stamping them twice or three times. I used HA Intense Black ink to stamp the images because it is a Copic-friendly ink. This means that the ink of the Copic does not run when you color on this ink. I also masked some of the images to create this Hawaiian scene.
Para crear la tarjeta, primero estampé todas las imágenes en la tarjeta. Utilicé el kit de Hero Arts de Febrero 21 que aún está disponible. El trozo de cartulina blanca que utilicé fue Neenah Solar White 110lb (libras). Utilicé la Herramienta de Estampación MISTI para estampar las imágenes y obtener imágenes más definidas estampándolas dos o tres veces. Utilicé la tinta HA Intense Black ink para estampar las imágenes porque es una tinta amiga de los Copic, es decir, que la tinta de los Copic no se corre cuando pintas sobre esta tinta. También enmascaré algunas de estas imágenes para crear esta escena hawaiiana.
I used the Copic Sketch markers to color the images for this scene that I had fun playing with lights and shadows and giving a lot of contrast:

I used the Mini MISTI Stamping Tool to stamp the sentiment that I stamped on top of the sea that I'd colored a moment ago. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with HA White Embossing Powder.
Utilicé la Herramienta Mini MISTI para estampar la frase que estampé sobre el mar que había coloreado hace un momento. La frase la estampé con la tinta Versamark ink y repujé con Polvos de Embossing blancos de Hero Arts.
Later, I trimmed the card sides a little and added it on top of a piece of dark brown cardstock (HA Chestnut Premium Cardstock), and added this whole piece on a white folded card.
Luego, recorté los laterales de la tarjeta aunque solo un poco y la añadí sobre un trozo de cartulina marrón oscuro (HA Chestnut Premium Cardstock), y añadí la pieza entera a una base de tarjeta blanca.
And this is all! I didn't want to add anything else because I wanted to focus on the contrast of the shadows and the lights. I hope you like it!
